PlayKnotWork

PlayKnotWork
a handyman for the everyman.....or woman.

One Man, One Kilt, Three Horses For the past five years I have made my living as an Actor by night and a Handyman by day. In 2005 I made my handyman services offical with the creation of PlayKnotWork. My goal as a handyman is to provide you with repairs and minor upgrades to your home that you just don't have the time or the desire to handle yourself.
Contact Info Since this is the World Wide Web, now would be a good time to mention that I live and work in the California Bay Area. I am based in Campbell, but travel extensively up and down the Peninsula. If your interested in my work, drop me a line at 650-222-4922 or email me at charles@charlesmck.com.
References can be made available after initial contact.
Affordable!! I charge by the hour. and the rates are pretty simple. $50 an hour for standard work. $75 an hour for combat pay (I define this as any time I need to crawl under your floorboards or into your attic. I'm not fond of spiders and I hate fiberglass insulation itch!)
estimates and advice are always free.
Handyman or Contractor? You need one or the other. I'm a handyman. That means I can fix whats broken, and I can put a nice coat of paint over whats stained, but be careful of what some will promise you. If it requires a permit, you don't need me. You need a licensed contractor. I'm honest and up front about what I can and cannot do. Licensed contractors work very hard and pay alot of overhead to maintain a safe and legal environment for the kind of work they do and I for one will not step in where they belong. A contractor may seem to cost more now, but you will save in the long run and be safer in the end.
A Workman with Style While I admit there are inherant dangers in hiring a handyman who works in a Utilikilt, the benifits are worth the risk. I have worked in the service industry most of my life and have never been fired from a position. Mostly because I was taught at an early age that respect is the key to good communication. I may have a unique style of buisness, but I guarantee you will be pleased with the results.
Help a Fella Out?
Actors are often the last to get paid when it comes to both stage and screen. We do what we do more for the love of it than for the paycheck, but if you have a desire to help support my habit click above. And thank you in advance.
